Electors are the term for representative officials who pledge to vote for a specific candidate in their state's electoral college. The US president and vice president are elected indirectly by voters, but by the Electoral College members, which they called electors. Currently, the electors are selected by the people and vowed to elect for specific candidates, however, the Constitution permits collectively the state council to choose how the electors are elected.
