The y-int. is found by setting x = 0:  3(0) + 2y = 7, or 2y = 7, or y = 7/2.

So the y-intercept is (0,7/2).  You could also write "b=7/2."

First, you need the equation standard.
2y=7-3x
Now, make it where y is alone by dividing everything by 2.
(2y=7-3x)÷2=(y=3.5-1.5x)
So, the number that has no x or y in it is 3.5, meaning that the number 3.5 is the y-intercept.
Answer: 3.5
