Barry wants to cut a wooden board that is 16 feet long into sections measuring 2 2/3 inches long. how many sections can john cut?

1 feet = 12 inches
16 feet = 16 x 12 
16 feet = 192 inches

I section = 2 2/3 inches

192 ÷ 2 2/3
= 192 ÷ 8/3
= 192 x 3/8
 = 578/8
 = 72 

It can be cut into 72 sections.
