The answer is 142 degrees. Angles m<1 and the 38 degree angle are supplementary angles. Supplementary angles equal 180 degrees so, you would do 38 + m<1 = 180. Since you don’t know angle 1, you would subtract 38 from both sides. Once you do that, you get your answer of 142 degrees.
