y=1/2x+4 and 2y+4=x so substitute y into the second equation to get
2(1/2x + 4) =x
use the distributive property to get x + 8 = x. There is no solution to this equation because x + 8 cannot equal x, and because of this you cannot solve the rest of it so there is no solution.
