You could do this problem in several ways:
1. Use a calculator. For example: 32 / 8 = ENTER
2. Refer to a multiplication table: 4 * 8 = 32
3. Graphically: write out the numbers 1 thru 32 and subdivide this list into groups of 8. You'll find that there are 4 such groups of 8.
