Unsure of what you mean by "yds."  Sounds like you're interested in the volume of this portion of the cylinder.

The cyl. is a vertical one, with the z-axis as its axis.  The radius of a horiz. cross section is sqrt(3), and the height of the cyl. is 3.

Thus, the volume is V = pi*r^2*h, which here is pi*[sqrt(3)]^2*3, or 9 pi.
