Multiply 8.88 x 10. Explain the shift of the digits and the change in the value of each digit.

Since it is multiplied by ten, its basically multiplying 8.88 by 1 and moving the decimal to the right once. Multiplying numbers by 10s, 100s etc. means you have to shift the decimal point to the right based on a number of zeros multiplied.
