All Native Americans were primarily hunters and gatherers. The men would hunt, and the women would gather berries and make clothes. They all lived in tribes together in villages. Most tribes were allies and they rarely fought one another.
The Native American cultures were different because each tribe had different beliefs and religions. Each tribe had appointed chiefs who did different jobs in each tribe.
