A line of symmetry is a line you can fold a figure over so that everything matches up.

The heart has a vertical line of symmetry--fold it over that line and everything will match up perfectly.

The rectangle has two, vertical and horizontal.

The stop sign has way more than two, (eight, actually) and the sock has none.

The heart is the correct choice.
