The key to the prosperity was it's surrounded by fertile soils and it's located near the seas.
By having a lot of fertile soils, Minoan civilizations have the capabilities to produce a lot of good quality agricultural products and boost their economic growth. The location near the sea makes them able to obtain a lot of maritime resources and it also protects them from other tribes' attack.
