The inalienable rights are not granted by any constitution, or social contract, they are a gift of nature.

The inalienable rights of persons were pointed out by John Locke in his Second Civil Law Treaty in 1689. Locke described them as rights: to life, to freedom, to property and to the pursuit of happiness.
