The perimeter of a rectangle is 120 feet. the ratio of the width to the length is 2:3. find the length and the width.

We have 2l + 2w = 120 and l/w = 2/3;
Then, l = (2/3)w;
Finally, (4/3)w + 2w = 120;
4w + 6w = 360;
10w = 360;
w = 36;
l = (2/3)x36;
l = 24;
