Stylistic device where the writer repeats the same word or phrase for the proper use of emphasis is called repetition. Authors use it both in poetry and in prose to make the idea clearer. There are many ways how authors employ repetition as it embraces many types such as anaphora, antithesis, epiphora and so on. All this tools are meant to emphasize the meaning of the words but they express this emphasis in different ways.
