A polygon has the vertices P (-2,6), Q (4,6), R (4,1), and S (-2,1). What is the length of the side RS? Explain how you found the answer.

R's x coordinate is 4 and 6 units away from S's x coordinate, 2. Therefore, the length of side RS is 6 units.
