parallel means that it has the same gradient but a different Y intercept.
we know it will be:
y=2x+c but we need to know C. what we can do is substitute in the point it needs to go through.
y=2x+c
5=(1×2)+c
5=2+c
3=c

so the equation is:
y=2x+3
