The figure shown above is triangle. The area of the triangle is a= 1/2base times height.

Base  is 10 .  The height is 6.

A= 1/2bh

A= 1/2*10*6

A= 1/2*60

A= 30

Or you can find the area of the triangle separately and add them up.

First triangle :

The half of the base is 10/2= 5

B= 5  H= 6

A= 1/2*6*5

A=  15

Second triangle :

b= 5

h= 6

a= 1/2*5*6

a= 15

Add up them both areas 15+15= 30
