Solution:

Area of a rhombus is:

[tex]Area=\dfrac{d_1d_2}{2}[/tex]

Where, [tex]d_1,d_2[/tex] are two diagonals of the rhombus.

It is given that the length of diagonals of the rhombus are 12 ft and 5 ft.

Putting [tex]d_1=12,d_2=5[/tex], we get

[tex]Area=\dfrac{12\times 5}{2}[/tex]

[tex]Area=\dfrac{60}{2}[/tex]

[tex]Area=30[/tex]

Therefore, the area of the rhombus is 30 square ft.
