the sequence is the a geometric sequence because the terms has a common ratio. the common ratio = -80 / 200 = -2 / 5common ratio = 32 / -80 = -2 /5

so the next to term can be solve multiplying the last term with the common ratio

x = -12.8 ( -2 / 5)x = 5.12

y = 5.12 ( - 2 / 5)y = -2.048
