10 years ago the age will be x-10

From the question;

x = 3(x-10) ••••(i)

Her mother’s age at that time is (x-10+20) = x + 10

so we want her mother’ s age now

from equation i

x = 3x - 30

3x - x = 30

2x = 30

x = 30/2

x = 15

her mother’s age then is 15 + 10 = 25

Her age now will be 25 + 10 = 35 years
