x= the square root of 10.
x= the negative square root of 10

5 - 2x^2 = -15

=> - 2x^2 = -15 -5

=> - 2x^2 = -20

=> x^2 = -20/-2

=> x^2 = 10

=> x = √10

=> x = 3.1622..........
