Equation of a line through two points is given by (y - y1) = ((y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1))(x - x1)
y - 5 = ((3 - 5)/(1 - (-1)))(x - (-1))
y - 5 = (-2/2)(x + 1)
(y - 5) = -(x + 1) = -x - 1
x + y = -1 + 5
x + y = 4
