Maybe it was because they believed that everything has a soul,a spirit,a life and you can't own these things.Sure ,they made their camps there and had to find food,but i read a true story that said that they blessed there animals and thanked them for feeding them,but they appreciated them and felt sorry,but they had to or they would get hungry.but they never thought they owned it.
