Log (6x+5)-log2=log 5
log (6x+5)=log 5+log 2

log 5 =0.698970004...
log 2=0.301029995

log 5 + log 2=1

log(6x+5)=1
log(6x+5)=log 10

Then:
6x+5=10
6x=10-5
6x=5
x=5/6

Answer: the value for x in this equation is 5/6.
