The circumference of the circle: [tex]C=2\pi r[/tex]

The diameter: [tex]d=2r[/tex]

[tex]\dfrac{C}{d}=\dfrac{2\pi r}{2r}=\pi[/tex]

Answer: The circumference of the circle is π times longer than the diameter.
