If angle A and B are complementary that means,

Measure of angle A + Measure of angle B = 90°

(x+16)° + (x-12)° = 90°

x+16+x-12 = 90°

2x+4 = 90°

2x+4-4 = 90°-4 (Subtraction Property)

2x = 86°

2x/2 = 86/2 (Division Property)

x = 43°

So,

For the measure of angle A, Plug in the value of x

(x+16)° = 43+16 = 59° ( ANSWER)
