Why are globular proteins important? what are their primary functions and what are they made of?

There are three types of proteins; fibrous, membrane and globular. Globular proteins are soluble in water and it usually round or spherical in shape. These proteins are from compacted amino acids which folds to its shape or form. They act as enzymes, biological messengers and transport mechanisms.
