Let f is the frequency and [tex]\lambda[/tex] is the wavelength of electromagnetic radiation. The relationship between frequency and wavelength is given by :

[tex]f=\dfrac{v}{\lambda}[/tex]

v s the speed of electromagnetic radiation

From the above formula it is clear that there is an inverse relationship between the frequency and the wavelength. If the wave have longest wavelength it means it has shortest frequency.
