Shawna reduced the size of a rectangle to a height of 2 in. What is the new width if it was originally 24 in wide and 12 in tall

24w : 12t

xw : 2t

12/2 = 6

24/6 = 4

The width would be 4in.

If you then multiply both the 4 : 2 by six, you get 24 : 12
