y = 2x - 1 ... (ii)

x = 2y - 7 ... (i)

y = 2x - 1 ... (ii)

y = 2(2y - 7) - 1 ... (ii)

y = 4y - 14 - 1

3y = 15

y = 15/3 = 5

So y = 5 and x = 2(5) - 7 = 3
