Mean means average.

To find the average, add the data then divide it by the amount of individual data you have.

(6.5 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 3.5 + 5)/2 = mean

27/2 = mean

13.5 = mean

13.5 miles is the mean distance that Jim jogged.
