Solve for x in 5x + 2y = 7

x = 7 - 2y/5

Substitute x = 7 - 2y/5 into 10x + 4y = 14

14 = 14

Considering 14 = 14 is redundant information, this is a dependent system.

There are infinitely many solutions.
