Hester confesses Dimmesdale that she is married to Chillingworth. The news were not so easy taken by Dimmesdale, he starts blaming Hester for his suffering. Hester brings him closer to his chest and buries his face into the scarlet letter while she asks for forgiveness. Dimmesdale forgives her by noticing that Chillingworth is way worst sinner than any of them.
