how do I solve this problem? 4/9 + 2 =

you first put a 1 under the 2
than you give them the same denominator(bottom number)
that is 18/9 and 4/9 
Now add them together and get 22/9
now make that into a mixed-number by dividing 22 by 9 you get 2.44

So...4/9+2 =2.44
