If I were President Roosevelt, to take the United States out of the Great Depression I would carry out an economic plan aimed at increasing public spending. In this way, public works would employ unemployed people. It would also create government agencies aimed at social welfare. Laws of emergency and promotion of employment and investment would be immediately enacted.
