Biotic Resources are based on living organisms. These are obtained from the biosphere. Examples are animals, birds, forests. They can reproduce themselves!

Abiotic Resourcesare based on non-living organisms. They are obtained from lithosphere, atmosphere and hydrosphare. Examples are water, air, minerals. They cannot reproduce themselves.
