Hi!

The perimeter = 2*a + 2*b, where a is length and b is width.

In this case a = b + 3. Knowing that, we can calculate the dimensions:

42 = 2 * (b + 3) + 2*b

2b + 6 + 2b = 42

4b = 36

b = 9

a = 9 + 3 = 12

Hope this helps!
