The building of the Great Wall of China took about 2000 years to build to completion. It's construction began in the Zhou dynasty, (pre-warring period), and lasted until the Ming dynasty fell. In today's cost, it would total up to about $360 billion dollars. Estimates suggest that about 800,000 people contributed to the building of the wall while under Emperor Qin's rule.
