Carbonation is a reaction from Carbon Dioxide that gives us the products Carbonate, Bicarbonate, and Carbonic Acid. It can also be a type of chemical weathering that allows for the breakdown of minerals.

The best example of carbonation can be seen in sodas if you are looking for a good in home example.
