using slope point form of equation:

(y-y1) = m(x-x1)

Given: A(1,5) which is in the form (x1,y1), and m= -8

substituting in the equation above:

(y-5)= -8(x-1)

y-5 = -8x+8

y=(-8x+13) <----Answer

which is in the form : y=mx+b (slope intercept form)
