Given: Length a pen = 10.5 cm.

We need to convert this value in meters.

We know,  100 cm=1 meter.

On dividing both sides by 100.

[tex]\frac{100 cm}{100}  = \frac{1}{100}  meter[/tex]

On simplifying,

1 cm= 0.01 meter.

In order to find the value of 10.5 cm in meters, we need to multiply 10.5 by 0.01 because in meter form 1 cm equals 0.01 m.

On multiplying 10.5 by 0.01, we get

10.5 × 0.01 = 0.105 meter.

Therefore, 10.5cm = 0.105 merter.
