So firstly, replace x with 2b-1: [tex] f(2b-1)=(2b-1)^2-2(2b-1)+4 [/tex]

Next, do the multiplications and the exponents: [tex] f(2b-1)=4b^2-4b+1-4b+2+4 [/tex]
