At what point do different alleles of the same gene irreversibly separate into different daughter cells?

The answer is during anaphase of meiosis. This is where each chromosomes of the sister chromosome pair is separated and moved to different daughter cells. Each copy of an allele is usually found in the same position on the two sister chromosomes.
